If anyone is visiting Ottawa Canada, be sure to go to the Canadian War Museum. There you will find a 43 Schwimmwagen 7-007482. This car has never been restored and is in fantastic war-time condition. It has all 4 original tires, and a single desert baloon tire for a spare. To see a pic of this car, go to the registry and click on the Canada flag.

I have a VW Kuebelwagen which I am rebuilding in Kenya. I am desperately looking for spareparts. I have to check if it is an original from Germany or if it was build in Brasil. Maybe youcould tell if if VW Brasil ever produced them? I hope we can be in touch and I am desperate for information, so your help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I hope that this site keep up the good work. My warmuseum in Sweden - Munkedal have a kübelwagen typ 82 1942, built in Wolfsburg 28 March and was deliverd to Norway 2 April same year. Please visit my site and you can see me driving this VW www.globalwarmuseum.com
I have not translated or updated that site for a while now but after visiting this site I got the right spirit again :-)

A good web-site, helping stoke up interest & prices worldwide! I have '43 Kubel myself, but on a '57 Beetle chassis, so if anyone has an original Kubel chassis, then I'm in the market for one please! Like John Miller below, I've been into Beetles for years, and have a '47 myself amongst the collection.
Keep up the good work & keep on showing us what we would like, but can't afford, haven't got the space for, or the time to work on.

I have built a LEGO model of a Schwimmwagen using instructions from this site.
